On the road again...

We went to Charlotte this weekend to visit our friends and to see The Laurie Berkner Band play. We also got an added treat that it was her Birthday and got to sing Happy Birthday to her!

This is the second time we have seen them. Last time we drove 5 hours south to see them play in Atlanta...I wonder if Abigail would even remember that trip, at least I have the photos to show here

We have had a lot of fun this weekend staying very busy; catching up with old friends, going to Ikea, taking spring Pictures and watching Laurie Berkner. We had back to "Reality" tomorrow but here are some of the highlights from this weekend.

Sometime she seems so brilliant...

and sometimes she proves that she is not yet 2 and 1/2/

Last night Abigail and I had a conversation about what came first the vulture or the egg. She was doing a sequencing a cut and paste about a vulture. It had three pictures a vulture egg, a baby vulture and then a "mama" vulture. Abigail kept insisting that the mama came first "because you can't have an egg without a mama" For a while I tried to say that you cannot have a mama without a egg...but finally gave up and just said we were talkig about the egg growing up and she did the sheet without a problem. . So as she she slowly floated off to dreamland I left the room wondering how smart she really is.

Of course with morning light came the reality that she is only two as she yelled at me "You can't look at my boo-boo." and then covered HER eyes!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patricks Day all.

Abigail was not wild about the cabbage but she LOVED her corned beef tonight. She also enjoyed the soda bread that she helped make last night. Abigail loves to cook lately. We still need to work on the loving to clean up part.

Yum Yum Buttermilk!

Little Dancer

Abigail started "creative movement" classes two weeks ago and she loves them! SHe has been obsessed with dancing for months and spends hours dancing every day- even if she is the only one that hears the music.

Here is a video of her dancing as a "ballerina"

AS you can very well see "graceful" is not the first word that comes to mind when describing her abilities.

In less then 24 hours...

Abigail had a busy day yesterday. We had a playdate at our house, and then ran a few errands. At about 3pm Abigail was running around playing as usual before we headed to the park. She felt really warm when I put my hand to her forehead so I took her temperature- and it was 103.8 ! Within 10 minutes it went up to 104.3

Needless to say we did not go to the park. For the rest of the night Abigail did not even leave our couch, she actually became very lethargic and slept on and off for the next 3-4 hours. I sat and contemplated going to the ER, Urgent Care or waiting till the on-call doctor the next morning. I finally decided to wait and see since both of us were tired and she had no other symptoms besides a high fever.

This morning Ab woke up with a 101 temp but was hungry and happy and wanting to play. Again I debated waiting or going to the MD and I am glad I decided to wait. By 11am she had no temp and was playing in the back yard! By 1 she was back to her normal self climbing trees.

I am not sure why or how she get sick but I am very glad that she got better so quickly! Hopefully she stays that way!

My little monkey swinging from branch to branch.

Being cheesy for the camera!

And yes she is climbing the tree in a dress...Abigail may love catching tadpoles, plaing in dirt, and climbing trees but being all girl it must be done in a dress with painted nails.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Abigail has been pretty sick lately. She has been fighting one germ after another for nearly a month now. We are trying new antibiotics in hopes that will just kick the germs out. Amidst all the MD visits, fevers and cooties we decided yesterday to celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday with Green Eggs and Ham.

ABigail was not wild about the color of the eggs but was willing to try some. She decided that she did like them afterall. A few minutes later she was sound asleep! You can tell from these pics that she is still not feeling well!

That green mush is scrambled eggs with green dye.

Taking a bite of ham- It was a bit of a challenge to get her to try the eggs.

Looking at these pictures I am able to tell how sick she has been and how much weight she has lost. Hopefully she is feeling better now.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Big Girl Car Seat

Abigail is officially in her big girl car seat. I ordered this car seat on Sunday Morning and this morning it was sitting on my front porch. If you ever need any baby/toddler supplies quick and CHEAP (Free shipping) you should check out ChitChatBaby

Anyway here are the pictures!

Trying out the new seat!

Installed in the back seat- there is about 6 inches on each side of the seat

The back seat- Bad picture but tons of room with the car seat in there!

Being Cheezy- If you know Abigail and car seats you will know that she must LOVE this seat to be smiling in a car!
