and surgery rescheduled

Abigail's surgery was rescheduled for July 8th. They had accidentally scheduled her for a Friday and that would not work with her staying overnight at the hospital...so we will return from NYC on July 7 and head to the Hospital the next morning. Hopefully she will think of this as part of her grand adventure and not some type of torment. She is really adamant about not wanting her tonsils out. Today she told me she did not like ice cream anymore.

Surgery Scheduled

Abigail's Tonsillectomy and Adnoidectomy is scheduled for July 17th. She will be spending the night at New Hanover Hospital and should be home the next day. Hopefully it will make a difference...she has strep again :(

First Last Day of School

Today was ABigail's first last day of school. SHe just finished her first year at Jenkins Preschool Academy and has done so well. The first day of school she walked into the building waved goodbye to her grandmother and started a love of school. I am so happy that we chose this program and have nothing but good things to say about everyone who works there.

In the past 10 months she has grown 2 inches, gained 5 lbs learned to read, to count to add. She has also learned to share, to use her words when frustrated and most importantly learned that the world is filled with so many more things to learn.

Here is my "baby" girl on her first day of school.

and on the first last day of school she will ever have.

Can you believe the difference a year makes?

It's a Girl!!!

It's a girl! My friends Teesa and Bill FINALLY have their little girl in their hands and she is gorgeous! I am not sure I am free to share her picture or not, but you can take my word for it. They have been waiting a very long time for her (over five years) and yet I bet just having her in their hands makes it feel only liked moments.

Congratulations Sam, Teesa and Bill on the new addition to your family!

THree Cheers for the ENT!

Abigail will have her tonsils out mid-July when we get back from vacation. I am so happy for us! Because of her young age she will need to spend the night in the children's hospital but should be fine. I will add more details when I know them.
