Never to Early for Jello Shots

For those of you who do not know Abigail is competitive, VERY COMPETITIVE!!
She loves to win. She hears the word contest or prize she is all in it and she will not stop until she wins. So...

Abby went to a Scooby Doo themed birthday party and one of the games was a jello eating contest. The rules were you needed to eat without using your hands and you could not pick up the bowl. Abby does not particularly like jello but she heard the word contest and was ALL about it!

and of course she won

by a landslide

First Signs of Spring ??

Abby brought home a painting of a flower today. Her teacher said she did it all by herself. It is a nice refreshing sign that spring is on its way despite this long cold wet winter we are having.

ANd she writes!

Abigail has been out sick for the past three days. Amazingly she is in the 0.01% of people who get strep after a tonsillectomy. Since she has been and pretty ill and sedate the last few days she seems to have set her mental energy toward writing.

Today Abigail decided to play waitress and take our breakfast orders; which she does all the time....but today she actually wrote them down! I guess 2010 will be the year of paper and pencil for Abigail! Here they are (with some translating if needed)

Saying Goodbye

Abigail's little friend Shane move to Ohio nearly 2 weeks ago. She is surely missing him but you can tell she is getting used to living in a beach town with a nearby military community. She knows that people move...and keeps telling everyone that she will be moving to New York City...when she is 5 and a BIG KID.

(The New Man is already trying to move in)

If you give a kid a nap ...

at 5pm then she will surely wake up as you are heading for bed at 12am.

She will see you are reading and insist that she wants to win the contest and that she needs to read a book to you.

And when she reads the book to you she will insist that you need to cut out (and put up) her heart...and that she needs to come with you.

As she walks past the kitchen she will claim she is starving and beg for a peanut butter sandwhich, and when the sandwhich makes her mouth dry she will plead for a glass of orange juice to wash it down.

Since she is 3 she will need to pee before going back to sleep.

And, of course, once she lays down...she will ask for a story again.
