A day at the beach...

We went to the beach yesterday with our friends. It was a beautiful day here in Wilmington. Blue sunny skies, temps in the high 70s and a nice breeze. Abigail had a great time playing in the sand and jumping waves. She is definitely part fish, she would spend all her time in the ocean if I let her.

the BIG Piano

I am talking about the BIG piano. The one from the movie BIG with Tom Hanks. Well when we were in New York City last weekend we went to FAO Shwartz with friends and decided to stay and watch the piano show. This is done on the same piano that was in the movie. It was a really good show and these girls are REALLY talented.

We also went to play in Central Park. This is not the usual playground we go too you could definitely tell by the crowd that was in it. But a playground is a playground to Abigail. A slide and some trees to climb and she is happy. She loved playing in the fountain at the playground too. Will hate me for the dancing naked pictures when she is a teenager, but they sure are cute now!!

Another one of those days!!

So Ab's temp is finally under control. She is back to being her crazy self with a 101 temp but acceptable...And I actually had time to work on getting the pool clean!! Well I am busy shocking the pool and a big breeze blows (First breeze we've had in months) and I inhale the chlorine. It kinda worried me, but not that bad...so I kept working. 20 minutes later my noise and throat are really bothering me...read on th bottle "call poison control" ...so I did. I am writing this post from a steamy bath I have 20 more minutes of this before I get to go sit outside in the fresh air for 30 minutes...when it rains it pours!!

She's reading!!

Abigail is officially reading. She can read Abigail, Mommy, Dora, Grandma...and oddly enough Fresh Fruit. So weird , but she read that at Ihop today. She is going to give my a run for my money now.

Right now she is pretty sick. Temp went up to 105 today so I am trying to keep it down. Two lukewarm baths and a ton of medicine has it at 102. It will prob be a rough night. We have plans to go to the MD in the morning. Hopefully she is feeling better by then. Poor thing is pathetic, she just sits there crying "boo boo" when she is awake.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Just a quick update!

Things have been busy in our home (or out of it is a better description). We started our wild weeks of vacation by heading to Myrtle Beach for a couple of day. It was a lot of fun. It would have been more if it did not start POURING as soon as we got into the hotel. But Abigail and I enjoyed going to the aquarium and seeing all the sharks. It is a pretty cool place. The next day was beautiful and we went to the beach and the pools. Abigail had a good time playing with her friend Sophia, who left Myrtle Beach with a beautiful new hair style. If you would like to see all the pictures you can click here .

The next week Abigail spent her first night away from me. Or to be more exact I spent my first night away from her. It was very hard for both of us. I think more for me then her. I dont think it helped that she got in trouble for the first time a few hrs before I left. She threw my wallet out a car window!!

On Thursday of last week we went to Sesame Place with friends. Abigail had a wonderful time playing with all the characters and in all the water. It was REALLY crowded though. Can't wait to go back next year when she can do all the big rides.

On Saturday we drove down to NYC and did the tourist thing for the day. It was fun but exhausting and I was happy to be home sleeping in my own bed on Monday night (tuesday morning??)

Other random things...

Abigail can read one word. She can read the word Dora (can you see how she is going to be as a teenager). She has a pair of paties that has the word Adorable on the front. She pointed to them the other morning and said "look mama, dora" and pointed to the D-O-R-A in a-D-O-R-A-b-l-e. I thought it was very cute.

Ab went to the roller skating rink for the first time. She had a lot of fun ( I think) but it took her an hour to go as far around the rink as she did. We will try again soon when it is NOT naptime.

Hope everyone else is haing a great summer. I can not believe that my "baby" starts preschool a month from Sunday. It seems like only yesterday she was born.
